I've been fortunate with cars for a while, however I might have a pup.

I just got this car, its near immaculate, 1 owner, 59k miles and fsh.

Drives ok, however it hesitates on light acceleration, flooring the throttle makes it pull like a train, there is no smoke flat out, sometimes theres just a small amount accelerating at part throttle.
Didnt notice this on the test drive, obviously theres no mil light.
I'm thinking its going to be like other diesels I've had and be the egr coked and operating slow causing the hesitance, or the maf sensor if this engine has one.
So before I go and shout at the dealer I'm going to pull the egr valve, just the valve not the cooler, clean it out and fit a blank plate with 8mm hole in it.
I have a obd scanner but I havent checked for dtc's yet as my laptops blown up, I need to haul the desktop out to the car.

Am I on the right lines, or have I bought a shed, I dont mind doing a bit of work as its a nice looking motor, however if I have shot injectors I'm going to be in trouble.

I had a punto a few years back and liked it, however I think some of the bad things I've been hearing about fiat are true, then I spose all makes have bad things.
Anyways I'm cutting my losses and it looks like it has to go.

is the mileage looking shady..??

personally i'm not a fan of that engine..,

The service history is complete and the milage looks correct, and there was only 1 owner, I spose it could have been clocked, though the trim, steering wheel & seats dont look worn like its done 100k.

Ok I'll hang around the panda forum than thanks for that, I'll at least have to keep the car till I get the docs for it, and if I get it to run a little better I'll get more readies for it.
