Can some one please help and post a picture! I have looked through many posts and cant seem to find a picture any where of exactly where people drilled or what hole they found to wire an amp! Got all my stuff waiting but cant get the power cord from the battery to inside! Its a mk2 punto sporting on a 2000. Please help! cheers :worship:

i dont have a sporting but i do have 1.2. there is a gromit on the firewall basically rite behind where the battery is dont know if its the same on the sporting

i know this is a very very old thread lol but once you fed threw the gromit where do you feed threw then? does it come threw behind the glove box part? im going other way round. wired up amp/sub and fed wires threw to the footwell. now im lost how to got to the battery from there. also not sure where to feed the wire to my cd player. wires both come out inbetween the door and seats (the pastic foot panel bit) iv got the battery lead on the battery side of the car and the wire to the cd player to the drivers side. cheers peeps
oh as for the earth i have wired that to the boot braket bit thats just before the rear bumper. where the ring catch is for the boot. iv put it under one of the bolts which hold that. is that an ok earth? i havent sanded it tho :bang: lol
Power wire comes out under the carpet behind the glove box, good luck trying to push it through from inside the car.
Best bet is to get a length of wire, push it through from the bonnet side, pull it through into the car, tie this onto the power wire in the footwell and pull it back through that way
Wire to CD player is best (again) done the other way around, i.e. from the CD player, down the back of the center console and under the carpet, as before, feed some wire through this way, and pull the wire you need back up through the center console.
EDIT: earth should be fine
