Re: wiring speakers thru door on a bravo

dunno what the wires on the bavo are like but if they dont have a rubber gromet to lead the wires through, you can get this steel braided piping that you run the wires through and you can lead the out the side of the door card and into the pillar., just be sure its in a good spot were they dont get crushed but the pipping is a great help against that.,.,

Re: wiring speakers thru door on a bravo

Can you not just use the cables that are already there? why change the speaker cables?

Re: wiring speakers thru door on a bravo

I has a similar problem so I amped the existing cables at the head unit/iso end and used shortened cables at the speaker end.

to b honest if you can find the end of the cable at the door plug end and cut it and join your uprated stuff to that and do the same on the other side of the join at the door it will make bugger all difference to sound quality and gets over the drilling problem, and looks neater than more grommets coming out of the door!

your components being 110 watts rms will make no difference to the cable, it is more to do with the amplifier your using on them, it will make no difference to the sound of the components whether you use eight gauge speaker cable or the factory stuff for those few inches

nope, not in the slightest!! perfectly safe, who told ya that?? how much power do ya think you have??

look how thick the cable is for a two kilowatt heater, that is ac the same as your speakers get, about ten times more power than you will be running! and at that itll only get that when playing test tones which personally i don't, so an average of 50 watts most of the time for loud listening, seems so easy now doesn't it!
