I'm about to sell my Punto, and have taken out my DAB/CD-ROM unit for transferring to the new car. I've put the original radio casette back in but can't find the code in all my documents.

Other than go to the Fiat dealers, is there another way to find or generate the code from the serial number? Somewhere reliable on line?

I'm getting shut of it on Monday or Tuesday for a Citroën C4. I should have put the original radio back sooner but it's so carp I coldn't bring myself to put it in until now.

its also handy and interesting to know that if you remove the unit and stick it in a freezer it usually resets the Memory. (leave it in overnight)

we were chatting the other day at work and one of the scotts were telling us. (never tried it personally but he has apparently)

Funny how no-one has ever actually done it themselves - it's just an urban myth.
