I have a Japanese spec'ed 2006 Grande Punto. The radio fitted when I bought it was stuffed so at some expense I bought an original equipment Blaupunkt on Ebay.
It came with the security code. I installed the radio (3 minutes) and turned it on to see the message CANCHECK.

That's all I've ever got. I have been told that the wiring harness is missing the wire necessary for the radio to communicate with the car and so it will not work.
Is there a work around?
