thanks for code, but one week and still cant enter it as stereo still got ẁait`on display, tried leaving it on for over 2 hours but it killed battery and stereo turns itself off after so long anyway, can anyone help?

If the radio turns itself off, you'll need to set it up out of the vehicle with an earth connection, and the permanent and switched live feeds connected to a bench power supply. The radio needs to be switched on continuously for the waiting time.

The waiting time can be up to 24 hours depending on how many wrong codes have been tried.

Had the car a couple of months with no problems (04 Panda 1.2 Dynamic Auto). A couple of days ago the radio stopped working and flashed up 'CODE' when started. After stopping for petrol it started working again (no code input). The next day 'CODE' was back and has been ever since.

Cold weather glitch or sign of impending failure?

Could have been a temporary loss of power to the radio that caused the code request.
