Help!!

Okay whoever owned my coupe before is a gimp

You know you have two ISO connectors, one has the battery and earth etc, and one has all the speaker connections?j

well the speaker one looks fine, but the Power one is MESSED UP! The battery one is cut, so is the black wire.

I can touch the black and red ones together and the head unit illuminates briefly, then turns off. You can't turn it on using the power button.

However, if you press eject it ejects the disc as normal, but then turns off.

Why is this? there is obviously power going to the HU but it won't turn on

Also what does the "ILLUMINATION" wire do? as this isn't wired in.

illumination is so it knows when you have the headlights on(so i presumes dark)and dims the display.
HU probably needs a second direct power feed as a lot of newer high end HU's seem to

you'd go bankrupt if you did that with a turbo cinq

I don't think so, you gotta bear in mind I spend £450 on the coupe a month at the moment

ps spent way more than that on the cinq this week

All it was, you have a red cable that is labelled "accesory" and a battery cable, both these have to be connected to the red coming from the car. I did try this but for me it didn't work.
Taffy came to mine to have a play and it worked for him But anyway I got it all wired up and it's excellent, I cannot recommend the head unit enough for £190 it's by far the best HU I've ever owned. And watching Pulp fiction in surround sound in your car is a good feeling
