| Bravo front speaker options / size / HOW!? Hello. Just a quick question from a n00b... Is it possible to fit 17cm comps under the front grills? I think i am right in thinking that the standard speakers are regular 16s. If i made some sort of adaptor would it physically be possible to fit 17s in there? Also - tweeters... where are the crossovers for the standard tweeters? If i were to get a new set of comps how would i go about bypassing the stock X-over & wiring in the new gear? And finally - is there a guide somewhere about how to remove the front door panel / dash etc or a general "how to fit new speakers guide" as the whole thing looks to be pretty well built in ![]() Thanks for any help you can give. Mark

| Re: Bravo front speaker options / size / HOW!? From the manual it says this about the six speaker system: The acoustic system is composed of: - 2 130 x 180 mm elliptical diffusers 30W max. power each (in the doors, 5x 7") - 2 tweeter-dome diffusers 40W max. power each (in the dashboard) - 2 103 mm diffusers 30W max power each (each side of the parcel shelf, 4") So I guess you can straight swap the door speakers for some 5x7s and get some 4"s for the back. I don't know how much bigger than this you can go. The tweeters look an odd shape and I don't know how much space you have under that grille to fit replacements.

| Re: Bravo front speaker options / size / HOW!? Umm, if you mean can you fit 17s in the door - then yes, though you just need an adaptor (http://www.autoaudioaccessories.co.u...694cca051dec&). Also will need to drill a couple of extra holes, as the ones already in the front door are a little short

| Re: Bravo front speaker options / size / HOW!? the front speakers can be upgraded to 17cm yes, but it does require some modification of the inner door skin. by this i mean using an angle grinder, and how much you have to remove comes down to the speakers themselves, depth qand cage size for the magnet. i have the alpine type r's upfront and the aaa mounting adaptor, which imo is crap. if you can make some mdf rings yourself then do so as you will get a much better seal and fit. as far as im aware the front speakers have their own inbuilt corssover, so by removing them you remove the crossover. if you are to fit uprated speakers i would strongly advise you amp them as it will change the sound quality considerably, the stock wireing and in built amp in the hu will do them no favours. if you do amp them then you can put your crossovers in easyily enough and bypass all the oem wiring
