Question power caps?

I'm running a 10" sub in sealed box with an amp in my sei and was wondering is there much benefit of getting a power cap?
sub and amp are both JBL.
I have heard good and bad points about them but seeing as prices have dropped on them to the £30 for a new one i am considering one.
Also how do i ago about wiring one up?

Any opinions, advice and wiring info would be greatful guys and girls

Re: power caps?

Do you even have any power issues with the ICE?

Waste of time, money and effort. You do not need one.

Re: power caps?

Contrary to common opinion, power caps DO NOT sort any power issues. They only make the problem worse.

If you sort out the charging system (alternator, TB3, bigger battery etc) then that'll sort out any power issues

TB3 and a better battery are well worth doing if you need it
