2 ways or components???

hey all,

i want to replace the 10cm speakers in the front of my Sei but cant decide wether to get 2 way speakers or components. ive heard that components are better sound which is what i want. but where on earth do you put the tweeter and the crossover?

i want to try and minimise the amount of cutting but dont want the tweeters in a stupid place where they are gonna do naff all. anyone got any suggestions?

You can put the crossover anywhere it'll fit As long as its not a stupid length, it'll be fine

You want the tweeters high up (to raise the soundstage) and pointing directly at you

Is the Sei's dash big enough to mount the tweeters on there? And most tweeters come with various mounting fitments, so that shouldn't be a problem

im planning on mounting comps, with tweeters in the dash and other part in Door pods .

Not always. I had a listen to a car with the tweets in the kick panel (still aimed at the listener) and the imaging was spot on.

Get some blutack and stick the tweeters in different areas to see which works best before fixing them in place properly.

Fair enough I think the most important thing is that the tweeters are pointing at the listener anyway
