My top tip when using MDF

FFS sake cover everything up if your doing it in the garage!

Spent 3 hours yesterday cleaning up after myself, the dust goes everywhere!

I find rigging up an industrail vac helps too HAve it on and attach the nozzle to a wire coathanger and clamp it near to where you're working, the hoover sucks up the majority of teh airborn dust

Re: My top tip when using MDF

Personally I use plywood and avoid using MDF unless absolutely necessary (e.g. sub enclosures)

Re: My top tip when using MDF

I'll be using plywood for my amp and x-over mounting, but this weekend was sub enclosure duties.

4 MDF rings for my subs - I don't have a router, so one is to mount the sub, the other surrounds the sub and can be fibreglassed onto. Then a few other bits to make a frame up so I can mount the rings in place.

I'm getting there, slowly but surely!
