Hi, I'm a newbie on the forum and to Fiat Grande Punto's, finding a few things bewildering like....

If I stop my Grande Punto Dynamic 1.4 8v (2008) while waiting for my better half, in all previous cars I've had, if you switch off the ignition but do not remove the key, the radio continues to work.

Unfortunately, this doesn't appear to work with my Fiat, I have to turn the key to MAR which, of course, means the dash lights up like a Christmas tree and the fan continues to whirl away all draining my battery - easpecially as I usually have to wait half an hour for her train to come in.

So is there a simple way of keeping the radio on whilst parked up?

Thank you in advance

Hi and welcome to the Forum.
To listen to the radio while waiting, just turn the ignition off (you can remove the key if you wish) and just press the radio on button. This will turn the radio on for a period of time, normally half an hour or an hour. If it runs out just press on again.

Excellent! I knew the Italians wouldn't let me down

Thanks for that

One slight irritation, now I've pressed the button to manually turn the radio on, I had to manually turn it off again - I.e. It no longer switches itself on and off with the ignition key?
