Re: wats the sizes for a sub box

Just finishing a boot build on a Stilo so may have some idea's.
Depending on the Sub model it looks like about 1.25cu Ft - 1.75 cu Ft. or 35.5 litres - 49.5 litres.

Mdf (18mm) boxes enclosed or ported, check on the website. You can get 12" boxes, fully sealed and carpeted on e-bay for 9.99. Heres my bootbuild if your'e interested.

Try this site, http://www.carstereo.com/ as they've got loads of info on box building, and have calculators so you can work all the dimensions out!!

Don't you have the manual that comes with the sub? But I *think*, if its the GT4 series, you need 1.25 - 1.5 cu ft.

I posted up about custom sub boxes before..........

Its pretty straightforward

Re: wats the sizes for a sub box

Taken from here:

http://www.jbl.com/car/products/prod...at=SUB&ser=GTO

Sealed Enclosure (vol) 28L
Vented Enclosure (vol) 64L

That's approx 1.0cuft or 2.25!!!!

Sealed it is then!
