Re: cd player info needed.

My JVC SX992r had aux in and I was always happy with it, not a particularly recent model though so maybe too low compared to your budget. Like this:

Re: cd player info needed.

Any player with Changer Control will work, you can get an adapter which connects the Changer plug to RCA (phono leads) iirc theyre about £25

with that in mind, about £200 will get you JVC KDLH811, Kenwood W6531,

have a gander on www.caraudiodirect.co.uk, its what u like the look of at the end of the day

Re: cd player info needed.

The majority of the new sony headunits have AUX inputs for MP3 players etc, and come in well below your 200 pound budget. My GF has this one, and i cant find much wrong with it:

Comes in black too:

You have to be careful with these though, from looking into this from my old sony headunit, just using an adaptor lead wouldnt work on some units - you needed to buy a powered AUX input box and cabling. I think this is more for the Unilink type autochangers on the older headunits. the majority of the newer ones usually have AUX in as standard (RCA inputs)

Re: cd player info needed.

Doesnt look like its got an AUX input though... So you can play MP3s via a CD, but you wont be able to connect up your MP3 player to it.

Re: cd player info needed.

All kenwoods with changer control work with the adapter lead, as i was told in road radio...

I have an FM Modulator which plugs in... doesn't sound absolutely crystal clear at high volume but it only cost £30 from motorworld and will work with any HU...

Re: cd player info needed.

most of the blaupunt units have a connector on the back where you can plug in a cable ending iin phono or 3.5mm jack plug - not quite as pretty as having aux in on the front, I fed the cable down thru the back and into the glovebox - u can put your device into the glove or if you want to change controls when driving, pull the cable out the glove box and put the player on the passenger seat. I got mine from blue spot - this is the page that has the cable, I got the 1st one on the list - and I'm well pleased with my HU, I got the slightly older version of the dresdon and it rocks
