hi all

hope you dont mind i need some advice on something which isnt FIAT related just hoping id get a better response on here

right so i have just bought an astra and some of them have an AUX input by the handbrake lever but mine doesnt for some reason, i checked under the covers no wiring there, anyway i was wondering is it possible for me to add an AUX to the original CD player...im still unsure oif that CD player is compatible with AUX but should be i just want to add an after market AUX lead if it is possible

and how can this be achieved

have you taken the head unit out and had a look to see if there is any spare connections or anything?

nah not yet bud, i didnt know if you splice into existing wiring for AUX or its a seperate thing thats what i wanna know

and if so what do i connect wiring to ect...il get a pic of the rear of the cd player soon

i think it will be compatible as some models have the same CD player but the AUx aswel

if some models have the same unit but with aux then chances are there is a spare connection in the back to add that functionality

so i dont need to get it coded or owt to work then? should just plug and play innit??
