Does anybody know the size of the standard fit speakers in the 3 Door Punto Grande? :)

Punto MK1

Door Cards 16.5cm/ 6.5'' speakers will fit in those.Depth is normally two inches, without cutting or using spacers.

In dash, 8cm speakers, good for a 1'' tweeter.

If you fancy 6x9s, rear quaters, loads-a-room, same with parcel shelf. (not a fan of 6x9ers)

Boot can hold a few subs.

i orderd today sony cdx gt 414U and alpine 5x7 sps 570A for front doors.
i hope speakers will fit the doors.

Old Panda:

Depending on model you can have 10cm in the front doors, 10cm in the rear side panels, or 10cm in plastic pods on the dash. Standard wiring only provides for 2 speakers, although i guess you could put some 6x9s in the parcel shelf if you really wanted to...

10cm speakers in the standard pods
13cm speakers in custom DIY pods (Tight fit)
10cm speakers in rear panels (Remove panel and cut around outline on wood)
parcel shelf speakers aren't recommended as the shelves are weak. You could build an MDF shelf but then you'll probably need an upgraded strut

Re: Standard Speaker Sizes (DATA STILL NEEDED)

Hi i bought the 13cm speakers for the back and they are miles off fitting!! i think its the 10cm you need

Hi dont know if I missed it but can anyone tell me the size of the rears in a 3dr stilo please?

Fiat Coupe speaker sizes are as follows:-
Front speakers are "component" i.e. consist of a door mounted woofer of165mm (16.5cms.) or 6.5" in old money. The tweeters are situated in the extreme ends of the dashboard.
Rear speakers are situated between the "B" pillar and the back-rest of rear seat and are woofers only i.e. no tweeters. They are 165mm as per the fronts.
The standard OE speakers are frankly a load of ****,I have just replaced my fronts with Infinity Referance components, the difference is amazing.

Grande Punto 3DR:

I have a GP with the optional Sub.

Front:

2 x Mid-Woofers in the doors / 16.5cm
2 x Tweeters near door handles

Rear:

2 x Full Range under arm rests below rear windows / 13cm

The Sub is mounted sideways inside the boot at the top on the drivers side

for bravo you mean? cause my back ones are smaller than the front ones too -which are 13s by the way- contradicting blaupunkt's 13 for front and rear. but i think you do need an adapter off them.

Re: Standard Speaker Sizes (DATA STILL NEEDED)

Now for the front punto mk1 front speakers, some are saying 8 cm's, others are saying 8.7 cm's
Who knows 100%?
i don't want to order 8.7 if they don't fit!
Cheers

Speaker Sizes

It's a bit late in the day for this, as I'm having the head unit fitted tomoro, but I need some info on the speakers. Are there any that will fit in the front door cards of the Panda? My friend has some very shallow Panasonic speakers in his 2CV doors but these are out of production now. Can anyone suggest a make / model of speaker that may do the job? Either that, or other mounting positions? (head unit is 4x50watts) Thanks

You won't get any to fit in the door of the Panda as it will foul the window when trying to open them. There are speaker pods available that fit at the ends of the 'glove shelf' that take 4" speakers. The other place to look is the rear trim panels, these are already cut on the reverse for 4" speakers as well.

Thanks. Had forgotten about winding the window down! (the 2CV windows fold open, so it's not a problem on that car!) Will have a look at the rear cards &see what the fitter suggests tomoro for the front. (y)

CINQ

With a cinq you get 2 10cm speakers behind grilles under the wing mirror adjusters at the ends of the dash. You dont get rear speakers and there is no wiring for them installed. You can fit speakers in custom rear door cards very easily. 6x9's are a good fit if your wondering. (y)

In the boot you can easily fit 2 12" subs in the standard sub enclosures, but will struggle to find room for more than 1 amp as well. 1 12" sub is recommended.

the only thing with my 12" sub is that my 6x9 on my parcel shelf rub of the box of my sub, recon i never put my 6x9 far apart.

In my Cento i have a !2" sub in box,
1000watt amp,
6x9s,
tweekers,
blow my standard speekers so just need to get one for there,
dvd player

hi, ive got a standard 5dr punto and was just wondering what size are the speakers are at the front (bottom of the door panel)? and what size speakers would fit at the back (either side of the parcel shelf) as i havent got any speakers in at the moment?

Thanks

EDIT: p.s. I was also wondering when fitting a 12" sub how do you get the power lead going from my amp to the battery, Ive ran them in the compartments under the doors but was just wondering how do you get to battery from inside the car.
