| this is where i stand | Noise Just wired my new amp, and its not a neat job. I get noise on at min volume when the RCA leads are connected to it. I can hear my CD changer accessing and stuff. Do you think its noise entering the cable, or is it coming from my HU or EQ? I'm going to neaten the install up soon, and maybe get some better sheilded RCA cables. Any ideas?

| Re: Noise Sounds more like noise entering the cable, so better shielded RCA leads that are run a seperate route to all other power sources should sort you out.

| this is where i stand | Re: Noise well it wasnt the RCA cables, it wasnt power cables. I unplugged the EQ, it wasnt that. The noise was coming straight out the HU. So i moved that onto its own earth. Same problem. So i swapped the amp over with my mates, and no noise. No noise on my amp in his car tho either. Stumped, but sorted
