punto mk2 door speakers!

i have4 installed my stereo into my punto mk 2002, iv got 2 12" rockford subs and a crunch 1000w amp, with my pioneer head unit which im keeping set at 4x40w. Iv been told that the speaker sizes in the front doors are 17cm and the rears 10 cm, i was wondering if i could fit 6x9's in the front doors and in the boot in custom pods instead of having them in the parcel shelf like everyone else, or possible just go for them in the front and have a few speakers in the boot rather than so much bass someone please help or give me a suggestion of something i could possibly do im really confused

If you have 6x9's in the boot, you'll be wasting your time as the higher frequencies wont penetrate the interior like bass frequencies do...

As for fitting 6x9s in the front doors, it may be possible although id imagine you'd have to make a custom mounting plate. HAving not seen the door i cant say for definate...

If you do decide to do that, make sure taht the magnet of the 6x9's will fit behind and dont obstruct the window. Also weight may play an issue. It wont sound too impressive if you have a flimbsy mount.

Personally my advice is to go for a set of uprated components upfront. They'll run nicely off your HU, although they could be amped up. As for the rear, 6x9s are generally fine in the parcel shelf. Yea its common, but generally common for a reason.. Its a case of being unique about how you mount them that makes a difference.
