Re: Supressors for Punto

Didn't the suprressor come with instructions?

And you've said you worked it down to the RCA feed of your amp... Is the RCA fed near the power lines? If so you may need to re-route it. If it was your alternator then wouldnt your other amp have problems too?

Alternatively, i could suggest you fit a 1 farad powercap to smooth off all the crap on the power feed (would effectively so the same as a supressor but more useful when cranking up the volume too).

Re: Supressors for Punto

Hi,

The Rca Cables are not bunched with power but do come within 5cm of each other at some points in the installation. The Noise only really comes out of the 6x9's, doesn't effect the front speakers, or doesn;t effect the subs.....

I have tried swapping the 6x9's from one amp to the other, and only happens on the one amp. ( the smaller bridged one intended for the 6x9's )

Ive already bought the supresser, and ive seen power caps for around the £35 mark. But Depending on how hard the Supressors are to fit, ( mine seems in an awkward place next to oil sump)

Am I best trying another small amp on the 6x9's before I go putting this supressor or a power cap in ?

If you've got another small amp spare to try it all on then yea its worth doing that. You might have problems with the amp... Also, is the gain right up on your amp?

Re: Supressors for Punto

I did check this the gain is just under half way, and makes no difference to the sound. I will try another amp first I think. Lend a friends or somthing
