hi all

i got a pair of subs a while back they was 2nd hand an came with a 1000watt 2 channel amp not having a car at the time they got put away, now that i'm sorting my car out i've dug them out i'm pretty sure they're only 8" (need to open the box to measure them properly.) I've had people saying i should get rid an get a large single sub problem is i think they sound great an even sound better than my mates single 15" sub.

So this leads me to the question does size matter?

are they worth keepin hold of or would i be better off getting a larger set up?

any advice welcomed
thanks
phil

Ha ha this is a minefield matey. Could you provide specific details of the Subs and amp. What your musical taste is. What the set up of the 15" is that you dont like.

Like for like a single large sub will have a lower (frequency) output than dual smaller subs. This doesnt mean it will be louder persay. The 15" will be slower to react than the smaller but will boom the smaller subs will be quick and tight but wont reach the low frequencies as well.

At the end of the day it all comes down to personal preference TBH. Some people like the tight quieter bass and some like the loud low booming bass.
