Re: stilo subwoofer

Your car may have the cables in already tucked away, have a look
but if there isn't you could still fit it, you would just have to either make up some cables or see if you can get hold of some originals from a breaking car or go to fiat themselves

Re: stilo subwoofer

The wires will be attached to the passenger side rear wheel arch if they are there. You would be able to see them i believe there are 8 wires taken from the speakers as the signal input a black, red and Blue wire off the top of my head. But i doubt they put them in without the sub. I know my car hasnt.

Re: stilo subwoofer

You will probably have to scour the bay or breakers yards for the loom. TBH i would just buy a little sub and amp. You will get a much better sound.

This is the wiring diagram for the optional Fiat BOSE amplifier and subwoofer.

P20 = Radio
B2 = Dash Fusebox
B45 = Rear Fusebox
P70 = BOSE Amplifier with built in Subwoofer

You would need to disconnect all the wires from your speakers, then extend them and route them to the amplifier inputs.

Route new wires from the amplifier outputs to your speakers.

Route new amplifier control wires from your Connect Nav+ to the amplifier.

Route a new amplifier power supply wire to the amplifier from the rear fusebox.

καλή τύχη!

Re: stilo subwoofer

Oh shoot i wondered why all 8 wires go into the amp. I just thought it used a lot of inputs lol. Bye buy rear fill for me when i take the Sub out then I do presume that the speakers arent connected to the Head Unit if you have the bose upgrade and i also presume that you couldnt get the sub without it.

You wouldn't happen to have a list of what components all the other codes relate to on these diagrams would you? My donor car has the Bose kit fitted so I reckon I might try retro-fit.

Re: stilo subwoofer

I know this thread hasn't been active for a few months, but since I'm trying to do the same thing, I thought I might just add that I found this which is quite useful:

http://translate.googleusercontent.c...qtYn_3OryEDMPA

The biggest thing that scares me is that the sub goes on the left, but being a right hand drive car, the fusebox is on the right - so where does the cable run? Or are the block connectors still on the left, behind the glove box?

Hi Mate, I was just wondering how you got on with this? I did the conversion a couple of months ago. It was all pretty straight forward but it is handy if you have a donor car.

Yes the sub has a built in amp which needs power. when factory fitted they installed another fusebox right at the back of the car just behind where the sub mounts. This fuse box is powered directly from the fusebox at the front under the steering wheel. This can simply be unplugged, the wiring goes behind the dash and up the LHS of the car as you're sat in it. You could do without the rear fusebox and run your own power cable to the back of the car but make sure it's of suitable size. You also need to run a wiring loom for the speakers to the back, the standard one plugs in just behind the passenger airbag lock key on the LHS of the dash.

Cars fitted with the sub in the factory also had 3 captive nuts mounted in the boot floor pan for mounting the sub. Cars which didnt come fitted with the sub dont have these.

Also the boot floor carpet, and the carpet trim on the LHS of the boot is different to accommodate the size and shape of the sub. I have photos if you need any or if you have any questions just ask.
Thanks penguinpaul thanked for this post
