| Good brands for Subs and Amps? Just looking into what brands of subs and amps are any good these days. From what I hear Kenwood, Vibe and Pioneer are good, is this correct? And are there any more/better brands out there? Cheers.

| Re: Good brands for Subs and Amps? My personal preference, I would go with Vibe. Their quality is outstanding. Well worth every penny.

| If only........ | Re: Good brands for Subs and Amps? It depends on what you're looking to achieve and what your budget is.... I've had Cerwin Vega stuff for the past 7-8 years, and I doubt I'll change to anything else unless something very special comes on the market....

| *custom name* | Re: Good brands for Subs and Amps? see its kinda hard tostay true to one brand, as the same brand can produce really amazing stuff and poor stuff. budget will be the main decider. take alpine for exampe. cheapest to dearest. type d, type e, type s, type r, type x and F1. same brand and a range of products ranging from the very bottom to as dear as it gets. this goes for a lot of brand. o and makes tend to focus on an audio area. for example vibe are more about loudness and SPL rather than sound quality

| TJet powaaaaaaa | Re: Good brands for Subs and Amps? Depends on your budget really. Alot better stuff out there than your vibes etc. JBL is a good budget brand, Fusions top end stuff is really good for how much it costs just dont buy the cheap crap that halfords sell. Alpine do good headunits and there subs are nothing special really your just buying a brand name.

| TJet powaaaaaaa | Re: Good brands for Subs and Amps? go for JBL if you want cheap bass. There is nothing better bang for buck. Yes you will need a sub and amp unless you get an active package which usually has the amp built into the box but buying them seperate is better imo

| Re: Good brands for Subs and Amps? JBL makes some cheap kits, but not very powerful (150W RMS). What I might do is go 2nd hand and pick up a Vibe or whatever brand is good. That was my plan to get a solid brand at about 3-400W second hand?

| TJet powaaaaaaa | Re: Good brands for Subs and Amps? I'd prefer JBL over vibe tbh. How much do you want to spend that is the main thing. http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/bass-pack-p-4278.html

| Re: Good brands for Subs and Amps? Fair play. Not that much dude ![]() If new maybe £70, but going second hand seems as though you can get a lot more wattage for less money. But again I dont know what do go for, I mean theres a nice Vibe active up in the classifieds?

| TJet powaaaaaaa | Re: Good brands for Subs and Amps? Being totally honest £70 will not buy you ground breaking bass. If you can up your budget to that package that i put up that will be good for the price of it. Remember you still have to buy wiring kit etc aswell if you go 2nd hand so dont forget to add this cost on aswell.

| Re: Good brands for Subs and Amps? Yea wiring is about £15. This is all you can get for £70 ish. http://www.caraudiocentre.co.uk/prod...00_p-23225.htm Which doesnt seem that good to me. What would you recommend getting if I were to go second hand? JBL's?
