Help Sony CDX-A250

Hello

this is my first topic i have done on this forum so give me some Patience if u can plz lol.

Well i have a small problem that problem is. i got a sony stereo of my friend but all he gave me was the actual stereos wiv the face case and big back thing. What i need to know is that what wireing do i need to make it work in my Fiat Punto MK2.

Should just plug straight in...

When you remove your old stereo you'll be left with 2 connectors that just plug into the back of the new stereo.

if that doesn't work then join the red and yellow wires.

erm i tried to put the new cd player in the car but the sockets wont match up with the ones in the car. i went to halfords and they said i need some stuff but the wires are £30 n i dont want to pay that. Can anyone give me more advice on what 2 do because i really need my music

You need an ISO connector like above. Should be £10-15 max.

Where can i get that for that price? cause i need one nowish because i have a big gap in the dashboard.

Could try local car audio place, or buy off the net and then wait a couple of days. It should not be over £15 at halfords though. They are probably trying to sell you steering wheel control adapters or something.

However once i get an adaptor do i need anything else to make it work apart from just getting a facia adaptor to make look good

No nothing else is needed apart from an iso and a fascia adapter. You will need to change the red and yellow wires on the iso to how they are on that pic though.

yea the sony 16pin to ISO costs 29.99 in halfords. i do think thats quite dear and can think of no reason why tbh but that just the way it is. but thats exactly what you need.

btw just incase you cant find one. im near 100% that the connection block on a JVC is the exact same. and i think to order it in in halfords is cheaper than off the shelf. both are cheaper than direct off sony as far as i remember

you many need an aerial adapter tho most sonys come with them free so it may be in the back of it and all

Erm i got the 16 pin ISO adaptor but now i think i need a Aerial Adaptor where can i get theses,and which one should i get because there must be loads in the market.

rite for the sony unit its usually the std to iso one. though moost sony units come with this free. you can get it out of any motor factor store. halfords stock them, theyre 3.99
