Re: wiring problem subs to amp

From what I've seen on most amps if you have two subs then you should wire it like so................

+ SUB 2
+ SUB 1
- SUB 1
- SUB 2

(Imagine that turned on it's side to look like your little diagram)

Every amp I've ever used were wired like so but yoursmay be different.

Is it a 2 channel amp or a mono amp?

Re: wiring problem subs to amp

Ahh you need to wire to 2 ohms then
Ignore the green wires.
Or in word wire the +on sub 2 to to the + on sub one, same with the - and then the + from 1 to amp and same with -

That's not what I meant - what voice coil config, since they come in more than one IIRC.

Re: wiring problem subs to amp

Well aparently it is dual 2ohm and i believe that the amp claims to be stable at 1 if you wanted to wire it like that but then you run the risk of overpowering them but do we believe the loudest's RMS Claims

Not really!!!

Anyways....

If they are dual 2 ohm that means either 2 x 4ohms or 2 x 1ohm, so either way can show the amp 2ohms. Just don't wire them so they show 0.5ohm or chances are the amp will go into protection mode or up in flames!
