| Budget Setup Hey all, just after some advice on my first system. I've got a mk1 punto with the standard sound system. I recently bought a sony CDX-GT410U headunit and it makes the stock system sound a bit better but its still pretty crap. i thought of getting a couple 6x9s and a decent sub with an amp to run them but now i'm thinking front componants instead of 6x9s. I've got a price range of around 200 maybe 300 quid including wiring kit. What brands are best and will i get the best deals online or in a retailer like halfords? Any help would be nice.

| Re: Budget Setup Cheers for that website, seems really good. I was gonna post a few links to see if any1 recommends some stuff on there but i don't have 5 posts yet. I'm thinking of getting some front door speakers but would i be able to power good speakers on my sony CDX-GT410U HU? I'm pretty much a complete novice at this stuff btw. lol cheers.

| More ICE Please | Re: Budget Setup
Just steer clear of any names that you havnt heard of and you should be fine there are places like ebay that sell full kits and Everywhere do Fusion (people say fusion is crap but its fine for a budget sytsem and they do an amp that will power all of your speakers and a sub) http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Fusion-1000w-A...6.c0.m14.l1308 I know it has 6x9's in it too but its cheap so sell em to a mate or just stick them in the parcel shelf for a little Mid/trebble in the back. | |||

| *custom name* | Re: Budget Setup i will say that i was impressed by the fusion stuff. it would always sell quite well and offers a bit more "bang for your buck" lmao. its only the real audio heads that start to fuss over quality. fusion was my first sub ![]() plus, we had the fusion girl over our store with her C2 pimped out, she was incredibly hot and the system sounded really well. made for a good day ![]() ps. second on the "no 6x9's"
