I wouldnt recommend that you buy budget Ice second hand reasons as follows.
1:- The life isnt as long expecting as more expensive stuff so it is likely to not last very long.
2:- It was likely to be originally installed by a noob so many probs can occur like blown subs, and clipping amps and if you dont really know what your doing you could think that the problems are you setting it up wrong. By which time the seller has done a runner.
3:- The deal is a as cheap as chips anyway and you get at least some warranty/ customer service with Caraudiosecurity.com (i have had personal dealings with them and have been happy with service)

I would hazard a guess that you own a MK1 Punto where components can be difficult and the gug said that he dont want em (although they would be ideal)

One thing i cant understand about Car Audio Security. Only ship Sub + Speaker packages with 6 x 9's. I dont mind 6 x 9's if using without a sub, but with a sub?!

They really should do components + sub. Would sound 10x better

Re: is this a good deal for first install?

its not a bad 'deal' as such
nice make with decent enuf equipment especially with all the wiring

im not going to tell you to get components but what i will say, use that money and get a better amp/sub and skip the 6x9's. theyre cheap bass and you wont need them with good quality bass

plus they use the same airspace muffling the sound. you prob wont reinforce the parcel shelf making the 6x9's sound terrible and they may start rattling especially with the sub underneath
