| *custom name* | Re: Help!! did your car not come with a third plug at all? obv your other two ISO's are connected so the stereo shud work fine but the third one is for things like steering wheel control, dash screen, ipod etc i think i may have one of these lying about the house the top block is usually split into three different coloured blocks, blue green and yellow, i cant remember the order. the yellow one is the one that has the ability for a 3.5mm jack, i have no idea what pins, you would need someone with a grande punto to take their stereo out and take a picture (one with the jack obv) though your stereo may not be made for it, it may need unlocked to allow sound input prob done through the examiner

| Unpredictable | Re: Help!!
All i know is that it has an aux option because when i press the CD button twice it goes to aux mode.. So what you reckon it didnt work because i didnt have the wires in tht yellow iso?? Also i went to Halfords 2day and they didnt seem to have a clue!!!!! Last edited by Skitz : 25-05-2008 at 22:26. | |||

| *custom name* | Re: Help!! lol, i hate how there are dumbasses working in ripspeed, in my store theres 3 of us, and no one gets 2 talk 2 customers about **** they dont know, lol. i will try find that wire for you tomorrow if i still have it, just something i had lying about tho the garage got cleaned out a fortnight ago so i hope its still there ![]() its not an ISO block, the isos are the blocks above, 8 wires, 2 rows of 4. the yellow one is 3 deep and contains about 10 pins in total approx. it just does the same thing as connecting spades over the pins coming from the stereo though looking at the diagram at the back im wondering if they have any use because usually manafacturers put every detail in those, which i find very handy post in the gp section for anyone with a 3.5mm aux input and would they be able 2 take a photo of the rear of their stereo mostly focusing on the larger block and see what wires enter it

| *custom name* | Re: Help!! well halfords dont stock that, and i sincerly doubt maplin do. tho ask someone in halfords 2 chek autoleads and see if they can get one as i found one in the undertray in my store once this is what i was on about tho what you need to do is see where the wires go into that yellow block to put the spades in the right places

| More ICE Please | Re: Help!! Im not entirely sure that will work on the earlier models of Fiat CD HU's that particular connection is a dud and i dont think it connects to anything inside the unit. They are fairly cheap so it might be worth it. What i dont understand is that it plugs into the socket that is used for Low level output. | ||

| *custom name* | Re: Help!! it doesnt use all of the pins. manafacturers only use the pins required for anything that comes with the car (steering wheel, aux in etc) in his particular car theres nothing so they didnt even bother creating the wiring or the block for connecting. its a fairly new unit but with manafacturer head units its a nightmare to predict whats inside tho stu reflects what i said that its possibly a dead connection as the sticker adjacent to it usually says what it does even if it isnt used

| *custom name* | Re: Help!! tbh i would just use ebay nexxia is usually only good for a sort of guide especially when i fit to hundreds of different cars. some of their stuff is good from autoleads as most ice dealers deal with these if it were me i'd search ebay and try and get the plug because at least that way its going to stay in and not leave any wires exposed only problem is not sure if it will actually work with yours
