| Re: Ice Set up? the front speakers can take 100w rms, whereas the HU probably only gives out about 20-35w rms, so you wouldn't be using the potential of the speakers. I've been trying to find out whether it's worth just getting a 2 channel amp for my comps, or getting a 4 channel amp so I can run it active. Also worth setting a side some money for sound deadening for the front doors as it make a big difference. Make sure you have no problems with mounting depths, etc and it's best if you can mount the speakers quite solidly, so probably get hold of some mdf baffles. I'm only just learning all this stuff now, so have a look on talkaudio.co.uk, if you want more detailed info

| Re: Ice Set up? For £130 those Hertz speakers are a bargain. Amp them, the improvement will be night and day. Rainbows iPaul 4 channel is a belter for £300, I've heard it power the Hertz and it sounded spot on. Get a sub in there and you're laughing.

| Re: Ice Set up?
thanks for that but what are mdf baffles? will that be like adaptors for the front speakers? i know normally the adaptors would be plastic so i assume you mean the MDF ones would be better?

| Re: Ice Set up? MDF is loads better, gives the speaker a more solid mount improving there performance. Get some sound proofing in there too, have a look in my gallery.
