Re: Help me please

Get a Fusion package but i doubt that you will get a Head unit in with that price. What is it you want subs, speakers, amps and a Headunit.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Fusion-1000w-A...QQcmdZViewItem

They do different ones you just have to search around
People will tell you when they read this that you shouldnt use 6x9's as you have a sub with the package. As this is your first install and considering the price as this is about the cheapest but actually still very good sounding i feel that this would be fine.
You will get pretty much everything that you need to install it so it makes it very easy to learn what you are doing.

Re: Help me please

I am running a basic pannasonic HU, does the job for £75 (not my choice, it was a suprise present)

Mutant 4 channel amp £25 quid promotional offer
Mutant 12" sub in ported box £25 used from a mate
Autoleads wiring kit, £15 from anywhere
Uprated rear speakers £20 (optional)
Fitting, use the guide on here and its free otherwise most places is around £60 (its not that hard, honest)

Total price = £160

And my mates still comment on the sound quality, even those who have £300 professionally installed systems.

For a budget like yours do what I did, shop around for clearence sales, use ebay, and ask around for used parts.

Yeah but you cannot rely on a Pro installed system a majority of the time they are not tuned as this is down to user preference.

Re: Help me please

well your 200(ish) seems to have fairly streched, lol

your speakers are ok. theyre good for their money, tho your sub choice is very good. i have never actually got to sample this particular sub though im very curious as i deal with infinity speakers a lot and theyre impressive

fusion are cheap bass thats it really, infinity produce much better stuff than them

your low freq is good
mid and high are ok (if fairness this is what your will hear the most)

so maybe upgrade the front speakers to a better set and if the budget doesnt stretch find a cheaper sub

I would only buy a space saver sub if it was necessary, and I think you have your front and back speakers mixed up. The sound quality needs to be coming from infront of you so spend more on front speakers than rears.

I would concentrate on a good 4 channel amp 1st as this is the corner stone of any system. 2 channels bridged to run the sub and a chennel each to amp the front components. Rear speakers are the least important part IMHO

Re: Help me please

If you are going for a £200 budget I would go:

This sub: Click Me
This amp: Click Me
and these front components: Click Me If i remember correctly these fit the dash of the punto and still allow the speaker grill to fit on-top.

Thats £140 for everything and you still have £60 to buy a wiring kit (about £15) and some rear speakers if you wish.

now im thinkin of this sub:
http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/pro...s_id/2923.html (but i rlly do like the infinity)

and i rly cant decide on front and back speakers ....how can i get bigger speakers to fit in the dash and bigger speakers to fit in the back 'spaces'.

is a 4 channel amplifier really necessary?

Re: Help me please

Most of the stuff pointed out above is absolute rubbish. For ~£200, I'd go for:
4 Channel Amp: JBL GTO1004e (£100)
Subwoofer: JBL GT4 (~£25 on eBay) Loadsa bang for little money.
Cheapo pre fab box or make your own if you can.
4AWG wiring kit (£25)

Then find some front components that'll fit your car. Forget the rears, leave the standard ones in. It'll probably cost around £225-£250 in total.

amplifier JBL, for the money you cant go wrong,

sub again JBL GT4's are top notch for low amount of money,

I was saying initially he needed a 4 chennel amp as comps sound rubbish through the stereo amp, but when he posted what he was after he showed that he only wanted coaxials so thats what I suggested, however being human I made a mistake and forgot to label them "coaxials" I apologize sincerly and you have my thanks for pointing it out

And willboyes, to answer your questions, you can fit bigger speakers in by changing the door cards for one off a higher trimmed model. Some of the higher spec ones came with speakers in the door.

And the steareo may be 4x52W but that is max power, normal power or RMS is probably half that so amping the speakers is a beter idea

It all comes down to personal prefference at the end of the day.
