| More ICE Please | Re: Boot Build You WILL need a box for the sub as it works by the resistance of the air movement so no resistance no sound. Ask Paulbfd he has built a box in his spare wheel bay and you can build a raied floor to keep the amp under as long as you ventilate it well. This is bery simple you can use the boot lining as a template for cutting a piece of mdf and mounting it on a couple of bits of battening just cut the rear side of MDF to fit. | ||

| Mo Money, Mo bass | Re: Boot Build Can't put it in there. Would be horrible. That big carpet on top, loose most of the bass, road noise. Pic of mine below. It's a 12" sub, and you wouldn't actually believe how much space I still have.

| Unpredictable | Re: Boot Build The reason i cant have it like that is because im going to have a baby by October and the pushchair wont fit if i have it set-up like that lol! I've found a build that i was trying to explain and hes still got the spare wheel in his boot its not a GP but dont see why it wouldnt work in any car. ![]() ![]() | ||

| Mo Money, Mo bass | Re: Boot Build I like that. However, wouldn't get them in the sides I don't think. Punto boot doesn't widen like that You probably could get a pushchair in. What I did was pen and paper, and just doodled till i got what i wanted. Could try one of those thin wall things. About 3/4 inches thick and sits up behind the chairs. Will find link....

| Re: Boot Build Sub in spare wheel well, fibreglass or MDF enclosure depending on room, grill over it so it doesn't get damaged, carpet over the top. Bass won't be effected too much by the carpet. Or you could get a real slimline sub like a Phase Linear Aliante to keep box depth to a minimum, but they're not cheap at £200ish.
