| HU not wired up for Ignition Hi, I have an Mk2 Punto and my HU is not wired to start with the ignition, according to the pioneer manual you need to swap over the red and yellow connections. I have tried this and it still works when on in standby. I have checked the cables i have got a live feed from both connectors [red and yellow]. Is this a problem with my HU? Should i contact Pioneer? Any help appreciated Radders

| *custom name* | Re: HU not wired up for Ignition do you mean it came come on without having ignition on? thats just a feature that some units have so you can listen to the radio without having all the other electronic devices in the car working if you mean you want it to switch on and off with your ignition, those 2 guide will help you out a lot. you just need to attach your ignition feed which is usually the yellow lead from the back of your unit to something that switches on and off with your car, an easy one is usually the cigarette lighter but you can take it from anywer like the fusebox, i took mine from the ignition barrel itself
