| Install Rear Speakers With HU Hi, This is my first post so be gentle with me! I have a Punto Mk2 with no rear speakers fitted as standard so i assume there is no speaker harness fitted at the back. I currently have installed 2 rear speakers by connecting them to the front door speaker then routing them through the floor towards the back. What i would like to do is set up my HU so that i can set the fade to front/back and balance left/right. I have a pioneer deh-5700mp. What would i have to do to get my rear speakers to do this? Also i am planning on installing an amp in my car, is it worth wiring up both front door speakers or just go straight to the HU? Thanks Radders

| Punto 1.1S (96) | Re: Install Rear Speakers With HU Firstly wireing from your front door speakers is a big nono here is why If your've wires + to + and - to - (which im gessing you have) this means that the impedance of the HU amp is reduced to 2ohm this is not very good for your HU and can couse it to over heat and become unstable How To Fix ![]() You need to run the wires from the back speakers to your HU then you need to find which is the two rear ouputs (on my sony its purple and purple/black for Right Rear then green and green/black for Left Rear) then just join them in ![]() Hope This Helps Tom

| Re: Install Rear Speakers With HU Yeah, been workin on my car today and it seems that what you said can be done, thanks. Do you know where i can get the crimps/connectors so the wires can fit direct inside the iso block? I wanna make the car fitted with rear speakers so when i come to sell it, i can remove the cd player without having to cut any wires

| *custom name* | Re: Install Rear Speakers With HU im guessing you just want the femaile mini blade that sits inside the ISO block, i havent seen anyone selling these seperatly, you can buy spare ISO blocks in any half decent audio place, if you know anyone theres always one lying about somewer, just remove the bits from inside it, but be careful, theres a wee bit of metal coming from it to hold it in place, best bet is to get a small fine object, even a needle and bend that bit down before removing
