apparently fusions top end gear is good, but where talking there top end stuff which costs alot! there low end range is poo in my experiance.

id go with jbl, why does it matter what they look like? and imo, i think jbl stuff looks very nice, looks plain, not chavvy and looks quite classy.

I have heard the new Fusion full kits all Inc comps/amps/6x9/ 12" sub for about the £300 mark and i have to say that i was very impressed but this was the Fusion Reps car so it was obviously pro installed and set up so this could be part of the reason.
Dont the JBL Subs still come in those snazzy boxes with the steel inserts in the sides and the protector bars across the front as they looked pretty good but they may have minimized this styling to keep the cost down as you can but sub/amp+ wiring for bout £120 now days and it used to be reduced £170 from about £230

Well on some of the audio websites theres a fusion sale and for £99 you get an all four corners set up including, 6x9's i think, door speakers, amps and i think they might come with tweeters not sure. but that looks good to me. and reviews are nice? what ya'll think.

Re: what company is best?

Cant seem to find it anywhere but that 4 corners isnt to bad for a First Install.
I found this.
http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/pro...s_id/1321.html
or this with the 4 corners.
http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/pro...s_id/1233.html

I dont think that you can get a Lot better for the money, i was very happy with mine when i had it. Obv now i wouldnt buy anything like this again as i am just too used to having things quite loud, but i think these are Excellent quality for very little money. I find that Fli and others cannot keep up with the pace of Fusion and Jbl's packages.

Re: what company is best?

Bang olufsen are the best as far as home audio goes (average Hifi is £7000), not sure if they do Car audio.

Rockford Fosgate are as good as it gets in the car tbh. But as said cost £££'s

Not anymore I'm afraid, 15 years ago they were awesome but like so many other top notch US brands (Phoenix Gold is a prime example) they've fallen foul of the accountants and demand.

They have however picked their game up a little recently.

Pah!! B&O is good but overpriced. You want pukka high end audio, you gotta check out 'Audio Research', 'Bryston', 'Krell', 'Mark Levinson' etc......

Re: what company is best?

rockford fostgate are still pretty amazing to be honest, ino someone really well who has a huge boot build with 3 15" subs and 3 1000W amps, playstation 3 and 18" monitor, speakers hidden everywhere around the car. and the sound is so crisp and perfect. and sitting in the back is like a massage.

anyway back to the more cheaper deals.

You shouldnt even be able to sit in the car with that setup, if that was setup correctly should make your nose bleed. Too many subs not enough air to move i bet you could get the same sound for half of what he has installed that is what i am learning at the moment as i did a similar thing. I was going to try and fit 2 15" Kicker L5'S into the boot of a stilo but i can get just the same sound out of One sub installed and set up properly (I hope)
