7" Motorized HU Fitting Problems

Got a 7" motorized DVD player Head Unit.

1st - Wasn't getting constant power so connected the red and yellow wires from the headunit to the red and white single wire. Got constant power. But had to turn it on and off without ignition.

2nd - When i woke up this morning and finally managed to de-ice my car I pulled the headunit out........connected the wires. However it doesn't work anymore? I know my ipod sometimes stops working in cold temps. Could be the case?

Thanks

Re: 7" Motorized HU Fitting Problems

also on my punto i could't get my HD to turn on and off from the key i sorted it by taking a feed from the service fuse in the fuse box now its all sorted

if it does't come on by tonight i would say there could be a fault with it and take it back and ask for another 1

Hope This Helps Tom

Re: 7" Motorized HU Fitting Problems

If Its The Ripspeed dv720, there was a product recall. and 70% of them are faulty, i found this out after going through 3 different ones in a week. then went back to the shop for a 4th time and saying i dont want a flip screen anymore, then got my alpine hu, which laster a month. now had my pioneer for 5 months No problems.
