 | new cd player fitting help! hiya! just got a new cd player coz my other one broke, the problem is, originally my car had a tape player and the owner before me fitter a non fiat cd player, but the cd player i had is about 1.5mm too big for the hole in the centre console, is it poss just to sand down plastic, or could i fit the cd player with out the cage that was supplied with the cd player, coz i have a feelin that if i dont use the cage then the cd player will fit perfectly? any help would be great!! xx

 | Re: new cd player fitting help! is there a plastic suround frame? there might be a removable one, which is making the hole smaller, if so, yank it out... it should fit... seeing as all car stereos are made the same size... (DIN)

| | Re: new cd player fitting help! hiya, yeh the old cage was still in but it was a bit battered, owner before must av ad the same prob as me lol. i have got it fixed now tho, got my nice handyman at work to file the inside plastic down a lil bit so its all snug now!! thanks alot tho!! xx
