i have just bought a fli active subwoofer and have set up all the correct wiring my only problem is finding out where the rem wire from the the amp goes on the head unit . The head unit is a kenwood kdc 5024 there are 3 wires which are not connected to anything A BLUE AND WHITE, yellow and blue which says remo cont , and an orange wire which says tele i have tried all 3 wires and the light on the amp still does not turn on .any help would be much appreciated .

there is no blue wire that comes from head unit just a yellow and blue and eveything else is connected apart from the rem from the amp and i have been told this is what prevents the amp from turning on

The "remote" wire is effectively the switch for your amp. The Positive feed to the amp (big cable) and the negative ground (big cable) supply the main power to the amp, but the remote cable, the smaller probably blue one only alows the amp to power up when it has a 12v positive feed. Hope that helps!

Put a multimeter on the two wires you have left on your HU. The one that has a 12v positive supply when the HU is switched on is your remote. My bet is on the one with blue in it!
