If anyone is interested, can you please let me know. I'm confident that we can get a reasonable price break if we can get 10 or more people interested in buying one and may be able to get the newer model which claims MP4 + MP5 compatibility amongst other improvements.

Would be interested as well....as long as seamless working (with steering wheel controls) and price dependent. Also, is there a limitation as to what Grande Punto model the unit would work with? Thanks.

Hi all, tbh I didn't expect this many replies :D

Well, this is what I know so far.

1. The software is Windows CE6.0 environment. (will it work flawlessly? as flawlessly as any windows operating system I suppose lol :p)
2. This unit is for the Grande Punto "only". The Evo model has an updated dash and therefore a different unit applies.
3. I've enquired about the unit shown in the picture in my post. The You tube video is of the older unit which I understand is superseded by the one in the image.
4. I've seen both Grey and Black units, so both colours should be catered for.
5. It's manufactured in mainland China, however the manufacturer appears to be well established and only deals in OEM unit replacements of the same type.
6. What are the internals? I haven't got a clue tbh, but I've made an enquiry to obtain a sample unit (will have to pay for it no doubt) and if I can get a sample I will open it up and check what chipsets have been used.
7. The SAT Nav works on the basis of purchasing a separate map from the main providers such as Garmin, TomTom and a few European others. The map has to be loaded onto a MiniSD card and inserted into the right MiniSD card slot.
8. The left MiniSD card slot is for media MP3, DivX, etc. although the unit also boasts 2 x USB pigtails at the back, so with a USB extender cable a USB hard drive installed in the glove box should be viable to store music and videos, etc.

What is it going to cost? I have no idea at present, however my target is to half the blue power price.

I personally like it because it looks like an OEM unit (as opposed to all standard single DIN aftermarket units), includes GPS/SatNav, Bluetooth with A2DP functionality for hands free and phone book, calls indexing, etc, MP3 player, with the cherries on top being RCA preouts, including sub preouts, Video Camera input with automatic reverse activation, DVD player and a much smarter display than the OEM unit. This is what the OEM unit should have been instead of the flaky Blue&Me thingy Fiat went for

Will keep you posted on developments.

In the mean time I would appreciate if someone can start a list as follows:
