@ James, the suppliers I have contacted state their MOQ's against the respective product on offer. In this case both had an MOQ of 10. The reason I said what I said in a previous post is because I have dealt with wholesalers before therefore I know how they usually do business.

I just hope that we can open a line of communication soon and that I can obtain one sample to trial in my hands so to speak before we commit everyone else into it.

On another note, I have always considered my head unit to be finished in silver but everyone else has said grey. My headunit is the same colour as the one in the video on the first page. Is this the same colour grey that others have?

You hit the nail on the head. That is definitely one question requiring clarification from all parties who are prepared to spend cash, to ensure we don't end up with any nasty surprises. The detail is in the planning as they say

All looks good to me

I think the YOM might be more useful as I doubt the manufacturer/supplier of the head units will reference the cars with S1,S2, etc. I included the codes originally only because I'm new to the GP and didn't know if there were any differences between the variants.

I would suggest (forgive me if someone already has) emailing the company and asking them if this item comes loaded with UK Language. From my reading of it thought it doesn't appear to.

This item isn't as simple as just unplug old and plug new one in from the looks of it?

Don't get me wrong it is very nice unit (although not interested myself).

Just thought someone might want to check out the language bit and the fitting?

Guys, this is available to buy on the open market @ north of 400Euros, in English money that's £330+ subject to where and what the FX rate is at the time.

Until we get some responses from suppliers and open a line of communication, the answer is "how long is a piece of string"......I would like to hit a target of 200-250Euros, its possible perhaps 200-250US, in which case even better for us.

Bottom line is, if you don't have or can't justify spending north of £200 on this, then either start saving, or give up on this idea. I will of course do my best to get as much off as possible to get below the 200GBP mark, the more units we can commit to as a group, the more the price will go down.

Now you have an idea about price, treat it as such, and hopefully we can all be pleasantly surprised further down the road.

Hi Max,

unfortunately I've not had any replies from the two suppliers I have approached thus far.

With my current work schedule, I haven't had the time to research avenues to other suppliers at the distribution level whom I can approach. It doesn't help that all of those are Chinese as communication is usually difficult, unless one speaks Chinese.

I will keep trying but I would need more time to identify other prospectors.

The seller is pretty responsive. Customs duty for shipping into my country is very high hence i have not made up my mind to buy it at the price.

Apparently some of the newer headunits have WIFI/3G capability but this one does not seem to, however the processor RAM seems to be beefed up. If only they could offer it with Android.
