Putting a feeler thread out for a possible group buy for powdercoating wheels in the Glasgow area.

Wheel refurbs and powdercoating will be by Chameleon in Braehead (apparently they have a very good reputation)

We need at least 10 in total, we have 4 already from other forums.

Please only put your name down if you are 100% committed, and a £30 deposit will be submitted from you to chameleon to secure your place. Deposits will not be required untill this is 100% operational. The deposit can then be taken off your total once wheels are done meaning you deposit £30 and then pay £130 when you pick up your wheels. Deposit means that if people pull out once booked into chameleon, there not losing other potential customer spots.

We are aiming for a same day turnaround for wheels.

Im trying to get an estimated date for this. I would hope they would accept your deposit of £30, and then hold off untill June when you have money. Obv you will be a bit more for having 5 wheels done.

Yeah hope so, infact just put me as 4 alloys one is just a spare anyway.

June unfortunately, I have already booked something for my week off next month so would have to be june.

Awww Dam! I have missed this oppurtunity I was quoted £350 for my set powdercoated Would this type of thing be happening again?

There will be powdercoating group buys on in the future if enough people want them.

£350 is a bit steep, where was that from? The place we got the group buy done usually charge £200 to have the wheels done, which isnt too bad.
