Biker Friendly Stickers

Biker Friendly Stickers

As an X-biker(summer project, 1989 XT600 or Fiat Coupe, so might become a 2011 biker).
I prefer drivers to move over a little, not in the gutter, dont expect them to risk punctures or hitting drains etc. Most riders tend to ride near the center of the road(white line), gives a clearer view of the traffic, so any stuff kicked up by the near side wheels being to close to the gutter usually misses.

In real world practical terms though, to see to the "vanishing point" on a right hand bend you need to be as far left on your own side of the road as possible, avoiding drains & road detritis.
Police training encourages use of the full width of your side of the road for that very perpose, like-wise for a left hander you will be adjacent to the road centre markings on purple alert for the wayward car / van / Truck drivers stradling the centre line, be it painted or imaginary...

yep... but i wouldnt be expecting someone to move over on a bend... as realistically you will be waiting for a straight (even if its short) to overtake...

I have a "think bike" sticker on my car.

As a biker i prefer it when cars indicate to let you past
and i sure as hell would prefer to be in front of a car then behind... try taking stones flicked from tyre in the chest at 60+mph. theres also times when cars go over something (like a brick in the road) which goes right under a car but is in your path on a bike.

but you also get some knobby bikers who dislike it.... had biker with a passenger up my arse for over a mile so on a straight bit of empty road I indicated, pulled in slightly (not in the gutter) and let off the throttle. he then ripped past and called me a w*****r!
anyone who pulls towards a curb at 60 + mph should be shot.
