Hi All

We are looking to setup some group buys on brake parts and would appreciate some feedback from forum users on what they would like to see.

We offer high performance brake upgrades but they come at a significant cost, so we are leaning towards a group buy on OE quality standard replacement parts.

Any feedback on what applications you would like included in the group buy would be appreciated.

Thanks

Steve

Many 'Cento owners upgrade their brakes to PuntoGT front and rear calipers but I personally am finding it hard to get a decent set of calipers+carriers at a reasonable price. If this is the sort of thing you're looking at then I think you could count on a few people from the 'Cento section getting involved.

Hi thanks for your feedback, however it would only be pads/discs or complete Gran turismo kits we offer.

257 mm vented discs with drilled/grooved faces and fast road/track pads

would take 3 sets at the right price (y)

Hi Rob,

Would this be for the 500?

PS - I saw your car in Auto Italia this week, thanks for the Brembo mention!! Did you see our advert?

Thanks

Steve

Hi Rob

I can try to match you some pads from our Pagid range but Brembo dont have any available in the sport range so i suspect it would be only standard pads we could supply. I will add your request to the list we are working on.

284mm vented discs that won't warp under 15" alloys would be nice.

Hi Hellcat

What is the application? If it is the Bravo we have Brembo sport discs available which will stand up to abuse a lot better than standard parts. Are you having regular problems with your brakes overheating? Have you considered ducting some cool air to the disc center?

Thanks

Steve

what pads come in the set of Brembo Sport discs and pads then?

Hi Rob

Brembo dont have any pads available for the 500! Discs and pads are sold separately. If they have a shape available it would be Ferrodo DS2500 most likely, in some instances there is an option of Pagid RS4-2-1.

Thanks

Steve

DS2500 sound good, let me know the options and prices as will need to get rid of the greenstuff pads after the winter(y)

I'd be interested in a set of 2500 pads as well. Never hurts to stock up :)

happens when he tries to keep up with tippex :p

hello, anything for the more "mature" car? mk1 uno turbo, grooved vented up front(240mm), grooved solid out (227mm)with some fast road style pads....gonna be a big 2010!! would like to stop once in a while though!

Sorry no Brembo listing whatsoever for the Uno, however we are distributors for Pagid Rs brake pads who do list a pad. We can offer this in an endurance material called RS29 which is race proven in series such as Britcar and The ALMS series. Not only is it a great race pad i use it in my road car, which means extremely long disc and pad life! Let me know if your interested.

For the guys interested in the DS2500 for their 500's unfortunately both Brembo and Pagid dont currently have a pad shape available for the 500. Hopefully in the near future they will be, but as it stands we can only supply Sport discs or OE parts.

Any questions / suggestions please let me know.

Steve

It's for the Tipo - see signature.

It's got Black Diamond drilled + grooved (which could be the problem - I don't know). It survived about 4/5 laps of Oulton Park before I had to coast around to avoid the judder through the steering during braking. I've not tried fitting any ducting yet.

Rich has Brembo discs on his Tipo as far as I remember, with ducting and less weight and no issues.
