Tail pipe advice on sporting...

When i picked up my (pre reg'd) car i noticed the tail pipe wasn't sitting straight , had it in to the dealer today to get it sortted but have been advised that the exhaust is one peice and can't be fixed :-( , it looks terrible as it's off by about a 20 degree twist. What do you suggest i do?

i have noticed other cars have a slight twist but not as bad as mine.

Tell them your not happy with it and you want it fixed even if it means replacing the backbox. From what I can tell its only spot welded on anyway should be quite easy to fix.

Re: Tail pipe advice on sporting...

You know I noticed that in one of your photos but thought it might have just been the camera angle.

I wouldn't put up with that, it should just be a simple exhaust tip that they can cut off and weld back on straight. Maybe check under the car yourself and see what the go is.

Nothing "Can't be fixed", if they have to replace your whole exhaust pipe to fix it then that's what they should be doing.

Bang on the table and tell 'em to sort it! It might be interesting to know why it's like that though. Have a look underneath and make sure there's no damage to anything. If there is, bang on the table even harder !

Keep us updated.

I think side strips are a must as well. I can't park anywhere without someone bloody flinging their doors into mine

Post some pics if you can as well.

Re: Tail pipe advice on sporting...

Interesting... at least they are making an effort to sort it out.

Did banging on the table work?

I have to agree Having seen one of the imagrant workers at our place open his car door onto mine and let it bang twice in the wind.

£60 well spent...

Lets just say he wont do it again im not normally a violent person, luckally I avoided a warning/sack as work hadnt started )

glad you have had your back box sorted
