Just popped out for my lunch and on my way back i was just about to pull off and the car beeped at me and the error messages came on the screen saying:

ABS unavailable
EBA unavailable
Hill Holder unavailable
and told me to consult my handbook, which i don't have as i'm at work at the minute.

Anything that could have caused this?
When i was pulling off i was sat on the foot brake with hill holder engaged and when i pulled off the wheels span (i didn't intend to do this). Just a bit worrying really as for the rest of the journey these messages flashed up on the screen. Although they didn't come back when i started the car again, but the car was noticably rough. Do you think it's anything to worry about?

It did this on mine but also did this at the same time:

Was a loose earth or something along those lines fixed within 30mins at the dealer. Just wait to see if it does it again before going to dealer.

It was only the error messages on the screen not on the headunit i think because the radio was on at the same time. I got 2 white lights in the speedo side with abs and an exclamation mark. Yeah will wait if it happens again before i mention it to the dealer as it may just be a one off. Just a bit worrying incase something else decides to go, knowing my luck it will be on the A177 in the pitch black.

That reminds me i had a similar thing happen to me. It didn't give me any warnings but i lost all readouts like rev counter, speedo, fuel gauge everthing. All the warning lights came on aswell like in your picture ChrisUK. I had to guess my speed! Driving completely blind. Turned the car off and left it for a while and when i started it again everything was normal! ISA FIAT!!

I had that once back in July - exactly the same things as you report.
Like you I just left it for 5 minutes and then the car started first time
I haven't had it again again.

Take it to dealer then, obviously under warranty.Sounds like brake switch.

I got the same message 1 week ago:

ABS Unavailable
ESP Unavailable
Hill Holder Unavailable

along with the ABS and anti spin warning lights.

Although the problem temporarily fixes when “restarting” the car (like any modern computer running Windows :p), the last few days it became annoying and kind of worrying as brakes although fully functional do seem to behave weird like the ABS intervenes when braking although there is no need for it. Consequentially the car was taken to fiat authorized service where (I quote) they “reset the error in the body computer” and ordered a “stop valve” (maybe that’s the brake switch you mention). Lets see what happens with that…

Anyone had any similar experience with that problem and solved it? Did it reappear? Any known causes for the error?

Try driving up to a position where the Hill Holder will engage and press the Brake pedal twice. I get this whenever I "pump" the brake pedal more than once (I dont know why I do it) I clear it instantly by switching off the engine and re-starting, it never shows again and there is no rough running unless I do the same Brake pedal pump on an uphill slope.... when I get the beep and messages again, done it since new and I have no issues with ABS / ASR whatever.
