I know I'll later realise I've been looking at it all the time, but where are these?! Thanks in advance.

Thanks! So they are!

Now which is which - and how long is each - the numbers / codes are not titled like VIN: XXXXXXXXX and Chassis: XXXXXXX there's just a load of characters - so which is which? Thanks again.

Re: Locating VIN & chassis no.s

it will be 199-0000-XXXXXXX
it might have zfa on the start of it too. the one in the boot is the whole plate with all the numbers on, the one on the drivers side under the plastic cover is just the chassis number

As 'fiatdownunder' said ZFA means Fiat (ZRA is Alfa) next 3 numbers denote car (199 grande punto,188 mk2 punto etc) then some zeros followed by the last 8 numbers it's these 8 numbers you need for ordering parts etc.
