I heard that some people with this problem had a connector problem at the EC..computer (damn how is that thing called T14086?) Like it wasn't fitted right in the socket or something like that.

Body computer?

Yep disconnecting battery will normally cure this,if not there is a flash available but think its for the 188 puntos...would need to check.

Re: Dashboard lights

This problem?

I drove it to the dealer with no instruments, which was weird to say the least. Didn't take them long to fix and they said it was a loose earth cable. So I was happier than a pig in s**t cause it wasn't serious .

Re: all dash lights stay on after ignition turned

Hi,

This happened to me when I had my GP Sporting. Did it say 'CANCHECK' on the stereo?. It was a loose earth lead.

Re: all dash lights stay on after ignition turned

depends on the car spec level if you get the "cancheck" message....

Its a know fault/ problem as a tempory stop gap pop the bonnet remove the earth clamp (its quick release) and leave it disconnected for 5- 10 minutes this should reset the body computer....

there is a software update for this error and mine hasn't done it since i had it done so ring the dealers and get it booked in IIRC it can be done whilst you wait..
