Hi all,

I have been wanting to lower my GP since buying it about 2 years ago, just never got round to it, however now I have the money and time for it.

I just wanted to know how much I could reasonably lower it (30mm, 40mm etc.)? I have quite a big gap from arch to wheel (around 5 inches on front and slightly less on rear).

I would like to get it sitting as low as possible without the wheels catching and so it will still pass MOT.

I am leaning towards lowering springs because they are around half the price of coil-overs. I have absolutely zero experience and little knowledge when it comes to either of these.

Wheels are "WR" 17inch, not sure of exact model.
Tyres are "Stratus" 205/40/17

Note: The pic of the car was taken the day I purchased it
(Also not sure if I posted this in the correct place, sorry )

Cheers,
Sam

Ideally would like the ride height/clearance to be similar to these two:

What did you end up doing?
I'm just thinking of doing the same, but not sure which springs to buy, or if anything else needs changing at the same time etc etc

Hey there,
I don't actually own the Punto anymore, however I can tell you that I bought APEX lowering springs (~£100) that lowered the back 35mm and the front 30mm (If I remember correctly). I wish I would have gone lower or bought coilovers tbh. The ride on the APEX springs was quite hard but not unbearable.

This is it on the day it was lowered.
Hope that helps,
