Hey folks, looking for some help...again ? Just wondering how could I be able to play music from my apple device via Bluetooth to the car. My car is the punto grande sound 2010 version. It doesn't have any aux ports visible but has a USB port in the glove box. Thanks in advance ?

The USB port in the glove box is intended to connect external memory such as USB stick. There is, tmk, no provision for Aux. input.
There is a full explanation on the eLearn disc about the extended audio system...

I use a Bluetooth fm sender I picked up on eBay for about £6. I use a usb one but cigarette lighter versions seem more common. My Samsung will pair with both the fm sender and blue and me at the same time for calls.

I don't think the Blue&Me system supports streamed media, except when connected via USB

What Eklipze3k said.

Blue and Me on the Grande punto was just Handsfree calling only. It does not have the A2DP protocol to stream audio via bluetooth.

Load up some tunes on a USB key, or search for the Aux-In mod (this involves having a silent Mp3 track on usb key)

I couldn't get blue and me to play any media at all from my phone via usb or Bluetooth. Putting the mp3 files on a usb stick formatted to fat32 and inserted into the port however does allow blue and me to play them.

Will it not play media when the phone is connected via USB though? I only ask as the Mrs' 500 does, but I don't keep up to date with the various versions of B&M.

The Grande Punto requires an adapter to play iphone through Blue&Me, but the 500 can plug straight in. My Mrs had a 500, and we tried her iphone and my android in both cars, the 500 seemed better to handle the iphone, whereas neither liked the android phone (presumably because it doesn't know which memory to catalog, internal or SD card). Android compatibility has always been flakey with Blue&Me, only time i got it to work was with a Galaxy S6 which only had internal memory and no SD slot. It managed to catalog and play the mp3's on it, but did not allow the likes of Spotify to play through it.

To be fair, the Grande Punto B&M was a bit ahead of it's time when it was launched. I don't think any hatchback at the time had Bluetooth, Voice control, Text Message announcement (although this came much later with an update) and USB MP3 playback. Just a shame they didn't include the A2DP profile :(

There are SW available for free that will add (or mimic ?) A2DP protocol to your profile; don't ask me, You need to Google for it and You'll find ...

Bernie, that requires you to add an Aux-In if the vehicle doesn't have one (which on the grande punto didn't have one if it had B&M)
