Hi, I have a 1.9 Sporting Grande Punto that recently failed an MOT due to the two front wheel bearings. I replaced both bearings but whilst changing the drivers side the ABS sensor within the hub broke! As expected the ABS warning appeared so I bought a new sensor, but, now installed the warning is still there - "ABS/ESP/Hill Holder Unavailable" appears once the ignition is turned on.

I've hooked the car up to MultiECUScan and no error codes are detected.

Has anyone experienced these problems before or have any idea what the problem could be? Thanks.

GPs use two different ABS sensor types: one with the 'phonic wheel' on the shaft and the other with 'phonic wheel' on the bearing, each has its own style of sensor; basically one is sensing at its end and the other at its side.
A mismatch will lit the ABS warning ... You need dble check if you installed the right parts (sensor AND bearing!!)

BRs, Bernie
