Hi,

Little issue on my 2008 GP 1400 8v.

As you turn the steering wheel back after a right turn, instead of just cancelling the indicators as you straighten up, it knocks on to the LH indicator.

Anyone had/ fixed this?
Is this a fault in the indicator stalk or I assume there's a cam that acts on the stalk workings?

Is the stalk straightforward to replace assuming it's that?

Thanks inadvance

John

Yes we had this and it drove us nuts.
Really you need a complete new indicator stalk. But we fixed it by fitting a small piece of cardboard neatly under the stalk above the column cowling- so that the stalk does not "bounce" when it clicks back and set off the other side indicator. It works!!

Thanks ratbag I'll try that as a temporary fix but I'm looking at replacing the stalk unit I guess.

I've had to change my indicator stalk about a year ago, for an entirely different reason BUT...

it is relatively easy to do if you are comfortable trying, just remember disconnect battery etc before removing airbag etc ? lol

and the actual stalk itself wasn't expensive, I think around £40-50 from ebay!

Thanks Andy

With the airbag off and steering torx wheel nut/ bolt?? removed doers the steering wheel lift off easily or do you need a puller?
