Hi,
I assume the elm is USB? Does it pass the interface test in MES?
The KL interface won't work with your GP
What computer / operating system are you using?

Try without any adaptor lead first you should get basic functions. For most else including service reset you need the yellow lead (adaptor 3).

Just keep getting error turned latency to 1 for the usb as well ... test works fine .but if i try to connct i get the error

And windows 10 ... but i have tried it with drivers disabled off a reboot same as op com for a vauxhall

off ebay for 35 pound as a bundle and it wont connct at all not even by itself

The very FIRST THING is to have your interface recognised by your computer (driver ok)
Once it is, you HAVE to get the communication settings right.

If all this is ok, the program should 'see' your car (at least the interface/cable) If you're using MES, do NOT use any adapter and you should be able to access the ECU...

You really need to know how to properly install the driver, the correct sequence is:

- install (provided) CD in reader
- run the setup program, maybe found in driver (sub)directory
- once done, reboot system
- connect the I/F to car or external powersupply
- connect the I/F to the USB port
- the driver installed @ step 2 will take place and the I/F should be running ok

If the driver wasn't installed this way:

- windows has probably installed its default driver, which won't work
- this driver will be called each time you connect the I/F
- with the I/F connected, remove the device from device manager (the I/F needs to be connected otherwise you won't see the driver in the list)
- disconnect the I/F
- proceed with the proper driver installation has describbed above...

ps: seems that people nowadays aren't aware anymore of the Prnt Scrn or snippingtool function to make nice (and readable) screen shots...

If someone here helped You understand, or better, fix your issue, hit the thanks icon @ bottom right corner, it's free and makes us feel helpy ;-)

Are you trying to connect with the ignition turned to MAR or off?

Igintion needs to be on MAR, check for bent pins in the elm connector, i bought one and they where slightly bent, good job i checked cos if not i would of bent them worse by trying to plug it in.

Also, did the advert say if it was modified?.

I'm having exactly the same issue on my 2014 Sirus drive from wheelchair Qubo.

I'm desperately trying to get rid of the air bag light and warning and flashing odometer which came on after I replaced the battery last week.

Reason for replacing battery was stop start was working intermittent, since changing the battery, that works fine but the new airbag fault has appeared. So I bought this as my Delphi and WoW unit through up the message U1703 but would not remove it.

This is it and all instructions followed and still get the same message as your getting when trying to connect!

I have tried it on my Panasonic CF-27 running Windows XP SP3, on an old Dell running Vista and a high spec Dell XPS running Windows 10, the same screen captures as your getting.

If any one is in South or West Wales and could get rid of this Air bag light and flashing miles, please help!!

In the mean time, the eBay item number I purchased was 121990469711
